Premier League Schools Tournament 2016
Posted on May 19, 2016Once again Swatkins Group Ltd, were honoured to be of service to The Barclay’s Premier League, manufacturing 2 Premier League trophy cup replicas to exact scale, one third of the size of the original, for this year’s Schools Tournament, which was held at Everton FC, at Goodison Park on 17th May 2016.
Andy Marklew, Swatkins Group’s Works Manager, and Stephanie Swatkins, Sales Executive, were invited up to Everton FC to present the 2 replica Premier League Trophies, along with the bespoke medals for each semi-finalist, the C2 Endurance Trophy range for Top Scorer, the C6 Endurance Trophy for Runner’s up, and the TZ010 & 9 Star Awards for the Fair Play Winning Team.
Swatkins Group is privileged to be involved in such a fantastic event, which allows 320 U13 & U11 players from 40 different schools the chance to experience the thrill of playing in such a prestigious stadium, along with the opportunity to be pictured and get to see the Genuine Barclays Premier League Trophy.
The 11th Premier League Schools Tournament has been the biggest ever, with more than 14,000 players and 1,700 schools taking part in qualifying events run by the 20 Premier League clubs. Two new clubs have been added to the Premier League Schools Tournament roll of honour after schools representing Sunderland and Swansea City claimed victory in this year’s event at Goodison Park.
The winning teams got presented with the identical miniature replica Premier League Trophy made by Swatkins.
