30 Years with Swatkins: True Legends

On Friday 1^st September, Swatkins Group Ltd was extremely honoured to celebrate the anniversary of Ken Holmes and Paul Evans all working for 30^th years at Swatkins.

Managing Director Paul Swatkins was very grateful to celebrate with his longest serving employees, having worked for the company since 1987: “This is an incredible achievement and it has been a great honour working with Ken and Paul for so many years. Through the decades we have all worked extremely hard together to help make Swatkins Group Ltd what it is today and I am extremely grateful for this. They are true Swatkins legends.”

At Swatkins our team consists of many time-served craftsmen and women who ensure continuity. With over half our team having served over 15 years’ service, we are able to consistently maintain high-quality manufacturing, and strive to keep our service second to none.

Ken Holmes

Ken and Paul Evans joined the Swatkins team together, working closely together in the finishing and plating departments. Although Ken started as a polisher he progressed learning many of the different skills required in several departments of the company, including plating, finishing, soldering, picking and packing orders. Ken is fantastic all-rounder at Swatkins. Having learnt all of the various manufacturing processes we undertake here, he plays a key role in every aspect of our company. Aside from work, Ken is a passionate West Bromwich Albion fan and a very keen golfer. Alongside this he is known to enjoy quite a few Jack Daniels and cokes!

Paul Evans

Paul began his Swatkins journey in the silver finishing department, working with our Silverware producing the bright and unique Swatkins mirror finish. Paul has always been involved in the polishing, plating  and finishing departments and is now Production Manager ensuring the Swatkins high quality finish is always maintained. Paul’s quality control is the toughest out there, and his skill level and knowledge on any Swatkins product is unprecedented. Paul spends the majority of his spare time with his wife Dawn, he enjoys skiing, and is a keen red wine connoisseur – and he also loves a good shop around Marks and Spencer’s!

Congratulations to Ken and Paul, 30 years’ service is a fantastic achievement and we thank you for your hard work, loyalty and commitment over the past 30 years.
