KPGA Hyundai Insurance K.J. Choi Invitational
Posted on Nov 10, 2017Swatkins Group were very proud to work with Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance in South Korea, on the production of the Champions Trophy for the KPGA K. J Choi Invitational Golf Tournament on the 26th -29th October 2017.
The most prestigious Trophy in our range, the Masters Hand Chased Challenge Trophy was perfect for this fantastic tournament. Our expert craftsmen and women worked closely with Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance company, choosing with a suitable pattern and design that would be impressive for many KPGA tournaments in the future. Standing at an impressive 19”, this unique Trophy is handmade entirely in the United Kingdom, in our factory in Walsall, West Midlands. The intricate design showcases the fabulous hand chasing patterns – a process we are proud to have on site. Swatkins were also very proud to produce a 11.5” replica Trophy, complete with all the intricate hand chasing details, a totally bespoke item, made exclusively for the KPGA invitational.
About the Winner
Hwang In-chun (43), was the overall winner of the Trophy.
Hwang In-chun scored a total of 11 points in the Hyundai Marine Choi Kyoung-ju Invitational (total prize money of 750 million won, winner of the 150 million won), which was held at Chungsan Country Club’s Daewoo and Dalwoo Course (par 72 / 7,276 yards) Under-par 277, and went into extra time with Choi Min-cheol and Kang Sung-hoon. After winning the championship, Hwang In-chun said, “I did not really think about winning. I was so happy and happy to be able to express it.”
